About Us

The Brooklyn Pediatric Society is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization representing pediatricians and pediatric health care professionals in Brooklyn, NY. Established in 1979, we are members of New York Chapter 2, District 2, of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Yearly events are held from July 1st – June 30th at which time we discuss academic, legislative, and practice related topics of interest. These meetings may be sponsored by hospitals, pharmaceuticals, or other organizations and provide CME credits. Networking opportunities, CME credits, and great dinners are just a few benefits of membership.  Over the years, the society has provided opportunity for enriching the knowledge of pediatric health care professionals including those in academics and private clinical practice. With dedication and passion, we promote programs with a potential for uplifting social and mental well-being of our members. We advocate for legislative issues that would be of optimal benefits to the welfare and social health of Brooklyn children. We provide avenues for social interaction of all health care professionals (including trainees) working in the interest pediatric patients. Moving forward, we are hopeful of our increasing capacity to provide greater opportunities to optimize the physical, social, and mental health of children in Brooklyn.
